Hey, everyone. It's Wallysson here again, and I want to talk about my Recife Regional, which happened on October 3 and 4. I finished 52nd out of 1074 players, going 8-3-2 with , and I have a lot to tell: what I changed in the list, why I went with Watchtower, and the matches of a tournament that was almost all mirrors.
Before the tournament, a word about Recife. What a wonderful city. I found it beautiful everywhere I managed to visit, and staying close to the part they call the Brazilian Venice was great. I arrived on Wednesday with my friend André Porto so we could practice and get to know the city, and it was worth it. I'm very lucky and very privileged to work from home, so I'm trying to arrive a few days before tournaments to get to know the place and settle in.
Preparation
I'm lucky to live with one of the best players in Minas Gerais right now, Álvaro, and we played a lot of games and theorized a lot about the decks.
Until shortly before locking in my 60 cards, I was leaning toward Henry Chao's Dragapult Dusknoir, with a few changes. I played the second stage of the 24 Hours, a really cool online tournament here at TCMG, with that list, and I was very happy with it. The deck was almost 100% locked with the list below. By the way, if you want to join the 24 Hours, leave a comment below and we'll send you the link. The tournament is a blast, the third stage is coming soon, and there's prize money, lol.
